Franz Gastler

An American social activist, teacher and football coach who works primarily in India is the co-founder and executive director of non-government organisation (NGO) Yuwa that teaches girls to play [football], and promotes health and education. He has received awards like Beyond Sport - Barclays Sport for Social Inclusion Award (2013), Nike Gamechangers (2011), Yahoo! India's 12 unsung heroes of 2012, NDTV Spirit of Sports Award (2012) and many more.


Urvashi Butalia

An Indian feminist and publisher along with Ritu Menon co-founded Kali for Women, India's first exclusively feminist publishing house in 1984. In 2003, following the closure of Kali for Women, she founded Zubaan Books. In 2011, Butalia and Menon were jointly conferred the Padma Shri, India's fourth highest civilian award, by the Government of India.

Aishwarya Natarajan

Founder of Indianuance which is an artiste management and concert programming outfit dedicated to Indian classical music and its allied forms. She has won the British Council Young Music Entrepreneur Award. Her aim is to get youngsters to listen to Indian classical music. She also runs the Bombay Baithak where, with help from patrons of classical music, we put together chamber concerts in the form of small, intimate gatherings and the focus is likely to be on international audiences.

Premlatha Agarwal

Born in 1963 she is an Indian mountain climber, who on May 20, 2011, became the oldest Indian woman to have scaled the world's tallest peak, Mount Everest (29,029 ft.) at the age of 48 years. She also became the first person from Jharkhand state to go on an expedition to Mount Everest. Prior to this, she took part in an Island Peak Expedition in Nepal (20,600 ft.) in 2004; the Karakoram Pass (18,300 ft.) and Mt. Saltire Kangri (20,150 ft.) in 2006. Her feats have earned her a listing in the Limca Book of Records. She was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India in 2013 and became the first Indian woman to scale the Seven Summits after climbing the McKinley Peak in May 2013.

Parvathi Menon

With a Masters in Communication, and a specialization in film and television, Parvathi transitioned from applying pure media to designing Web-based content and cognitive e-learning solutions for large multinational organizations. Her passion for development issues, entrepreneurship and innovation helped her establish Innovation Alchemy – an innovation consulting and collaboration firm where her Team applies a broad spectrum of business, entrepreneurial and technology skills to emerging market challenges.
